Installed DEXTER E-Z Flex® Tandem Equalizer Suspension Kit yesterday

Best sub-$300 I’ve spent on my rig. Trailer is a 2007, and I’ve pulled it all over the country. It has been getting progressively noisier over the last several years, so it was time to do something. Did the swap my myself in about 3.5 hours. Would have been much easier with another set of hands. Used two jack stands and two jacks for positioning. An impact came in super handy for removing the old hardware. The old plastic spring bushings were completely worn through, with substantial wear on the bolts. New kit has bronze bushings with lubrication, so they should last a while. I believe the trailer may be quieter than it was when new.

Yup my tires are lasting longer than when my unit was new... awesome shackles to keep everything squared up. My plastic bushing stock were not existent and the bolts were worn up to 1/5 the way through as well as the stock shackles were ovaled out. Much better ride and sound coming dow the road.

Bronze bushings replace the factory plastic spring eye bushings, every bolt is a wet bolt (greasable), equalizer has a rubber cushion to help trailer ride. Made my trailer go from sounding like a bucket of scrap iron to quiet as a church mouse.

I have been looking at the same kit for my trailer, thanks for posting. With the new equalizers did it change ride height Or were measurements the same as the previous equalizer. It should not effect the tire fitment in wheel well of trailer

I'm looking to do the same thing, the kit posted says the equalizer is 5 3/4 inch and mine is 5/12 inch. Will that kit work for my trailer? I have 2007 Stratos trailer.

You should gain up to 1/4" of fender clearance.

the other question from gapr you will need to measure your current set up.

Installed the equivalent product on my single axle trailer and virtually all the squeaky noise is gone. Even pulling it through my back yard, there's not a single noise.

Did mine last year also was money well spent. Really see the difference on those small two lane roads that aren't so smooth.

I ordered the ez flex kit. I got it installed over the weekend. The plastic bushings were replaced less than 3 years ago and had worn down to paper thin thickness. Definitely will be tighter and I like being able to grease the fittings.

Looking to do this soon, definitely beats them crappy plastic bushing that are on the marine master trailer now! I have replaced them once already and it seems this kit will eliminate a lot of the problems with noise and bushing wear. Grateful I read this post!
