Some of us fish year round and long as the water is still soft. Jan & Feb tends to be pretty tough though, so plenty of guys just pan fish.

Year round, went to school at UD the past 4 years and fished there in February plenty of times, still caught some decent fish.
Year round, winter can be spotty. Hit it right and you can have crazy days Or you can get skunked. One of my favorite days on the bay was in January, 37° water, hit a magic hour and a half or so and caught 15-20, best 5 about 18-19 lbs. Not the biggest bag I’ve caught on the bay, but not what I was expecting with that water temp!
