My panoptics has the 2.0 version. Is the 2.2 better? If so where can this be achieved? Do anyone have it willing to share?
If i want to update my 1042 can i unplug the panoptics and not tranfer the update to the panoptics.

Here is the Live Scope update history. I still have 2.0 and never updated it. I do not have perspective and since my display is as clean as it was when I bought it 2+ years ago, I am not going to update it. I don't want the ghost tree some have incurred. If you want to update via an SD card, here is the website.

My images are still good. I recently swapped trollin motors. The images have changed. Maybe i need to lower the ducer on the shaft a little. I had to changed it a little(a little higher up). My main concern was can i update the 1042 and not update the gls10? What height above the actual motor is everyone mounting the transducer?

I would stay with 2.0. Not gaining anything with 2.20
Just unplug the middle network cable on the GLS10 and run the update. It will keep 2.0 and update your 1042.

^ ^ This. I never took mine to 2.30 either. At this point, I probably will not ever update anything. If I were to do so, I would follow the above advice until there is a rock solid version of something that would not depreciate what I now have

Maybe Garmin will come up with a good way to roll back software. they will have to do something if Active Target works as well as some think it will. I'm still not convinced

No need to do a reset after a software update.

I updated the 1042. Not the gls10. After the update i checked the gls 10 it still says 2.0 version. The wifi on omy graph is turned off. Hope this dont mess with my images?
