Red Sox in 6!
I've noticed the same thing here in Georgia. I wonder what is driving the spike in advertising? Many of the commercials use very wealthy celebrities pitching the product and saying that they use it. I call BS...they may have the 'coverage' as part of the payment but ICE-T isn't worried about having to shell out a couple thousand bucks if his transmission goes out.
My buddy has it been a huge ordeal on a motor replacement soon as it gets fixed he dropping them.
Seems they warrant everything except what breakes.
I would not trust them at all.
every company that has run those ads in the past ends up going away after a while, take the money and run?

Think about it, what are the odds of loosing a motor/transmission??
Its possible if you buy a used lemon, but anything that you have owned for a while
and kept properly services is not likely to fall down in a pile. The ad sounds phony,
who would lose a transmission and a motor in the same car??? Not likely.
Competition is getting crowded, there are 2 other companies selling the same service. LDS

I contacted them. They wanted $125.00/month for a 7 year old F150 with 65K miles. Ford warranty would have been 45/month
Not for me.I have the extended warranty.
Work with extended warranties everyday. I'm two for two with bad experiences with Car Shield. One claim the coverage was very limited not worth the $$ the customer paid. Second did cover a transmission in a 2005 Dodge Magnum, took 27 days to get approval. IMO there are much better options out there. Rule of thumb, advertising on National TV and using paid actors they're making a lot of money from some one.
Extended warranties can be good. Most dealers sell good warranties. Your best deal is if the vehicle still has factory warranty when you purchase warranty and at the time your buying a used vehicle. When choosing make sure you pay attention to what your getting and remember there is some wiggle room to negotiate.
Scam
Another situation...I bought a factory GM 4 yr extended warranty from a dealer online seller.I had asked for quotes from 2 other like dealers.I now get spam calls from every town in the country from these dealers, including the dealer I bought the warranty from. They were way cheaper than the dealer I bought the truck from and haven't had to use it yet.
They can afford a celeb because their profit margins are so high. It is a giant rip off.

Have someone push You as far away from these bandits as possible. I was going to type 'run' but if it is running it ain't broke...
I must get 10 phone calls a week trying to get me to buy an extended warranty for my 2017 pickup. Paid for a full coverage extended warranty when I bought the truck new and have never had to use it.
