    2 stroke break in procedure?

    2001 ox66 225 just put new Pistons rings and hydro tech heads on also had injectors done and all filters what is the proper break in procedure? Thanks

    You may want to reset the oil pump to break in mode.
    Take it easy for a few hours changing the RPMs every few minutes, then run it like you stole it.

    Ok thanks doing a little looking can't find any info on setting the pump in break in mode?

    You mentioned replacing the rings. Did you have the cylinders honed?

    Yeah ran a ball hone until I got a nice crosshatch then inserted the new rings to make sure my end Gap was still intolerance

    There is no setting for the oil pump regarding the break in procedure.

    Here is what a VX225 Owner's Manual says to do.

    Having my HPDI re-done now and was told 10 hours under 4k rpms which is very similar to the information Mr. Yam911 found

    Long time ago but I do remember adding oil to the fuel at 50:1 so the motor was double oiled during breakin just like the instructions above say

    But no premix thru HPDI models.
