How long of screws for Hot Foot?

    2000 Ranger 520vx, 3/4", 1" what say BBC guys?

Right now I just have the hot foot, no slide plate, not sure if I'm going to do the slider. Anyway, best practices on Screw Length?

Measure the thickness of the plate and see what you need. I heard of a guy that used long screws and then couldn’t launch his boat because it was screwed to the bunk boards on the trailer.

The right side floor under the console is the hull of the boat. You should get a slide as the screw holes are on the left side where there is a double floor, then 3/4” screws, max.

Those look like TapCons. Everybody knows you don't use TapCons on boats.

Remove the cover on the center floor drain and measure the thicknees of the FG floor and add that to the thickness of the Hot Foot. You can also drill a small hole for one of the Hot Foot screws and stick a piece of straight wire in the hole to see how far you are from the inner hull. I used hefty diameter SS screws with Phillips head and drilled pilot holes for each one.

Thank you, that is good advice...
