I have one of their 28 ton compact commercial splitters. They are not cheap by any stretch of the imagination but you will not find a better splitter on the market. Chris Wolfe is a super guy that make a top-notch American-made product.

If you are serious about splitting firewood but don't want to step into a full-bore processor ($$$$$$), Wolfe Ridge is the way to go.

We used to rebuild hydraulic cylinders at work. Piece of cake. A lot of places would just drop them off and go buy a new cylinder. Advantages of working in a steel mill. Everyone that had a hand in the build got one free. They sold like hot cakes. We bought everything from the mill below scrap price. Motors pumps, cylinders valves, you name it. Even made the hydraulic hoses. That was back when everyone had a tradesman job. The company made out also, by bargaining and bartering. After a few years, some changes were made, and a few guys cried foul. But we had made enough to just laugh it off. We never hid what we were doing, and offered just about everyone something. Oh! The good old days!

I have no desire to split wood, fancy machine or not. Wood is cheap.

Looks easy splitting to me. If you have a lot to split it would be worth the price.

Nice splitter, but that wood kind of looked partially deteriorated. Not sure it would split some of the hardwoods we burn around here as easy as it's splitting the wood in the video.

Super nice no doubt. I don’t know much about splitters but I rented one and ran it for 8 hours one day straight except for fuel stops after a hurricane took several 100 plus foot hardwoods. It ran all day and it split that fast. I didn’t think it was special but I guess it was. What makes one better than the other?

I have had my 28 PRO C for about one year and love it.... the auto cycle valve is awesome. I love everything about this machine... well worth the money if you split a lot. I burn about 35 face a season...
