Good Safe place to stay with a boat around Lake Norman

Good Morning All,

Looking for some feedback on a good safe place hotel to stay around Lake Norman. My son (11) and I will be heading up there with our boat to prefish for a tourney and I have never been there. Would appreciate any recommendations you all might have. Will be towing a boat so a hotel with good parking would be a huge plus.Thanks in advance

KOA campground 10 minutes away, last time we stayed in the cabins. None of us had any complaints.

I’ve stayed several times at the Hampton Inn only a couple of miles from Blythe and never had a problem. The Days Inn is another spot I’ve stayed in the past but the rooms were meh.

I have stayed at Days Inn in Cornelius. I never felt uneasy there but carry my valuables in the room almost anywhere I stay any ways.
