I have a 958 HD up front and recently bought a Helix 9 sonar unit. Just can't get the Helix sonar to look the same as I could on the 8-series. Has anyone had that same experience?

Proverbs 3: 5&6
What generation helix 9?
It's a G2N
Proverbs 3: 5&6
Try turning CHIRP off to see if they look the same.

Thanks Wayne, will give it a try. Maybe I just need to work with it more and get used to CHIRP. What are the advantages and differences? Just higher frequency?
Proverbs 3: 5&6
CHIRP uses multiple frequencies so the lower end of the band has more depth capability and wider coverage, the upper end has more detail and less coverage. The combination give better target separation.
CHIRPed 200 kHz is 175-225 kHz
CHIRPed 83 kHz is 75-95 kHz.
The G3N's have a Low-Q HW CHIRP piezo tuned for CHIRP so it does even better than the cheap CHIRP of 83/200 kHz.
