Problems with mounting garmin force and recess box for pedal

Has anyone run into having to cut into the front storage box in order to install the recess box for the trolling motor pedal on a 2003=TR 19? How did you seal it to keep the front storage box a dry box?
Also the shroud on the bow panel sit up about an 1'' can you shim the trolling motor/Garmin Force up that high, to miss the shroud. The guy doing the install wants to pull the trolling motor more forward which puts it off center, but misses the shroud then and if shimmed, what would you use to shim it with? Also the problem I have with the trolling motor sitting forward with no shims when we launch, I think the trolling motor is going to hit the keel roller and possibly cause damage to the trolling motor.
    Thanks

Check out Ashmore Marine products. They make a spacer that raises and levels your trolling motor without moving it forward. I just put a new Ghost on my boat and it worked great. And yes the recess box does get into your front storage box. Mine has a drain hose on it that dump forward into the hull instead of the box.

Maverick, I'm not sure what brand it is. It was factory installed. I will try and get a picture this weekend and post it.

I installed a recessed tray in my 2003 TR20. I sealed the edges of the cutout with silicone and same with all the screw holes. I ran the drain tube from under the tray up towards the bow and cut a hole in the front of the storage box to run the tube through donut drains into the bottom of the boat.

Does any one know which tray would be best for the installation on the TR19 2003/ It is a wired direct Garmin force pedal. Really want a box that the pedal fits with out a hugh box.

Maverick, here’s the recess box on my boat. 9” wide inside by 13” on the flat and it tapers up to 18”. I have included a picture of the leveling wedge as well.3AB47C4D-DCC3-444D-8DA2-85DB8DCB6A2B.jpeg7BCC4E2A-9BEA-4464-84A3-D7E8611C03AD.jpeg
