    Durasafe Lock for Ultrex?

    Big Durasafe lock fan. Have nearly everything lockable on my trailer and boat on a single key. Wish they made lid latch locks!

    I was about to order a lock for my Ultrex when I noticed the pic on their site shows the lock shoving the cable harness hard to the right.

    Issue? Non-issue

    It'd be great to hear from some folks who have this Durasafe lock on their Ultrex (or perhaps those who have removed it for this reason)!

    I have one on my Ultrex and has not been a problem. You can easily switch the cable direction to the other side if necessary. I did it in mine.

    If I wasn't lost, I'd surely know where I was going!

    Have the lock on mine also and didnt have to move the cable harness at all......no issues with mine...

    Don`t really understand the need for that, I`m assuming your foot pedal is screwed down as well?

    Been noticing a lot of Ultrexs for sale without a mount. Makes you wonder where the mounts are.

    It does restrict the location of the cable harness even though it has a stand off. I had not thought about it until I read your post because it does not create an issue with my installation. However, I see where it could be a problem.

    Wayne, Now THAT is a KISS solution (Keep It Simple, Stupid). And is probably as much of a deterrent as the Durasafe lock. Thanks for helping me see a better way. Interestingly, just last night I read another one of your posts on the collar "upgrade" for the Ultrex shaft depth. Another KISS solution. I think I might subscribe to "Wayne's KISS Ideas"!

    I looked at the Ultrex parts list and I think the screw to use would be 1 1/2" long. Can anyone confirm?
