    What is this?

    Cleaning the wiring up and came across this. Cant tell what it is going to, but pretty sure it doesn’t work, but needing to know what it is so I can remove it.

    My first guess is a reset button. Or a light to show something has current.
    Might have to trace the wires see where they go.

    Looks like a circuit breaker to me.

    It looks like a household switch box with a red (reset?) button, and it looks corroded. What size wires, how many, and what color go into the unit?

    What size is it and can you show the other side?

    It may be some kind of reset button, only the red button is rusted in place!

    what type motor do you have. I had a 70"s Mercury 115 one time and the choke switch quit on the gear selector box. I wired up a limit switch to the choke wires and when I sold the boat the furnace limit reset switch was still working the choke.

    Looks like an ejection button that was used back in the day to get rid of co-angelers you don't like!.

    Very well could be a home made jump start push button NOT SAFE! Not marine quality electrical parts!
