    Jackplate question

Potential "duh" question alert. I'm looking for a new 6" manual jackplate for my PIII. It's a 6 bolt design, pretty few and far between. If I found a 4 bolt plate with ample material could the 2 extra holes be drilled?

I have a PIII and the BCB plates are a bit longer. I was lucky and found an 8" manual off a Cougar FTD that was going hydraulic. 8" helped my hole shot and gave me more clearance for my hydraulic steering so I don't have to worry about trimming too high. Good Luck

The factory likely has a non current used Jack Plate available at a reasonable price. Contact Mark in Parts and he will have to call you back.

The 6 hole plate is not just two extra holes. As mentioned, they are longer as well to help spread out the forces on the transom.
