    Ranger RT178C upgrade to 24v

    I have a 2020 model that has a 12 volt system. Is new wires required for running 24v to the front or is the stock wires ok? What battery tray did you use to add a third battery? Did you have to move your current batteries to make room? Thanks in advanced.

    My 2015 178 came with 6 ga. wire from the factory so I assume yours should of as well so you should be good there. Its a pretty tight fit back there with 3 batteries, especially 31 series. In the end I went with the Bass Cat battery trays, expensive but smallest footprint that I know of out there. I am running an X2 power group 27 for cranking/accessories and 2 Optima 31 blue tops for the trolling motor. Works great for me.
