I had to remove the treble hook from a shad rap out of my fishing partners hand this past spring. The teqnique I used was one I had seen Rick Clunn demonstrate on one of the BPS shows years ago. It was much simpler then what I saw in the video. I also cut the barb off of the remaining hooks on the treble hook that I am removing. He told me it was painless. Better him then me.

The anticipation while he was talking was killing me. Geesh that was tough to watch. I keep a pair of super high quality cutters in the boat with me and have had to cut one that way but nothing like what they have there thankfully. Man that was harsh....
