    GLoomis rod

    A friend gave me a Loomis bcr 853 rod with about 4” broke off of the tip. The rod says it was 7’1”, it’s now 6’9”. Anyone have any info on this rod? A search on Loomis site yields no results. I’m thinking about putting a tip on it and giving it to a young fisherman I know. Thanks,Rip Bass.

    Is it a GLX or Mossyback? My favorite rod of all time is a GLX 853 with recoil guides. With the Expediter program you can send in $100 and get a replacement from Loomis.

    FYI, This exactly why all Loomis rods now come with a serial#, and things are about to change ... just sayin!
