    Triton Decals

Looking to remove the "Triton" decal from the rear of the boat on both sides...i guess you'd call them "padded" decals....anyone done this, or have any ideas on the best way to do this???....thanks!!!

A piece of braid behind them and basically work it like flossing teeth. A little bit of heat wouldn't hurt as well. Might be a little bit to clean off from the glue left behind.

They are called raised decals. So heat and some isopropyl will clean em off good. Maybe a plastic (only to avoid scratching) putty knife or fishing line.

I used a hair dryer to remove a decal like you describe. Took 5 minutes and there was no residue left.

Have fun with the glue thats left. Going through the same on my 2000 right now..I ended up having to wet sand the glue off.

If you warm it up with a hairdryer, not too hot obviously, and use Goo Gone I’ve never found a adhesive that doesn’t come off yet and I removed a few of the various vehicles. Just be sure you clean the Goo Gone immediately when finished. I have no idea if it would hurt the finish, I’ve never left it on long enough to find out and I’ve never had a problem. Good luck

I’ve used both WD-40 and isopropyl, and they both work, but I still have found nothing that takes anything off easier than goo gone. That’s just my experience.
