    RobinHood App

Anyone use the RobinHood app for buying and trading stock? I guess my main question is do you trust it enough to put SSN and Birthday in??

I don't use it, but I would if need be. I know plenty of people who use it. You have to give that info to verify who you are and for tax purposes

Been using it for a little over a year. No problems. Super easy adding funds and transferring funds back into my bank.

I've heard mixed reviews. I've got TDAmeritrade, that is what I would recommend.

I was just about to ask if TDAmeritrade would be a better option? Do you mind me asking why you reccomend them?

Sorry didn't see this until now. It seems to be a larger company, more established. I've had zero issues with transfering money in or out, not limited on trades or things I can buy. No fees for trading.

No phone support with RH. TDA answers calls even on the weekend.

Used RobinHood for a while this last summer. I wanted to do Purchase orders and Stop Loss orders which RH does not provide/allow. I am with Vanguard and am currently using them. My guess is going with TD Ameritrade or a Schwab would be better, but with my other money in Vanguard, all of my trades have been free. It does provide the various types of orders to give you an exact trade verses a Market Order which is what RH does on the purchase and the sale.

I am going to go with TD Ameritrade.
I have a question. When you buy do you buy at the price then or does it wait until the market closes and buy at the closing price for the day?

some advice, spend some time learning before diving off into the market. They evolve constantly, and I can tell you they are more f*cked up now than ever
