Installing loc r bar on new ranger

So I'm nervous to make any cuts into my new ranger...the loc r bar videos I've seen make it look super easy. I haven't cut into any fiberglass before. I'm wondering if there is anything to watch out for when installing a loc r bar?

You need to cut a hole in the Gunnel so the recessed hole in the Loc R Bar bracket is recessed into the gunnel.

When cutting the hole for the bar run the hole saw in reverse until you are through the gelcoat and chamfer the bolt holes to prevent cracks spreading from the holes.

Just to add be careful on break through so you don't risk damaging the wiring in the gunnel, light pressure and small stickout on the hole saw pilot.

I thought all the newer rangers had locking hatches?

They do. This is to prevent thieves from popping those locks, probably damaging the hatch lid in the process.
