We have tried a sheet metal cover hinged and it did make a pretty decent day box

Never thought about covering mine just had to remember to empty it out when I got home. Was awesome to throw used plastics and baits in though out the day.

Hell i did it wrong than I thought the side of the boat was for dribble? I can tell you don't let a 1/2oz egg sinker go down that drain hole you won't be able to get it out. From that point forward it won't drain PITA to pull it apart.
