    2017 mercury 115 pro xs command thrust rpm

    In my every day running around the lake what rpm should I mostly cruise at.I know it peaks at 6300 but I would think it shouldn't run balls out all the time.TIA

    Depends on your boat, your propping/rigging, and your own personal preference.

    Ultimately, it's best to see the majority of an engine's runtime in the 3000-4500 RPM range. That does not, however, prohibit running the engine up to, and including it's recommended maximum RPM's (under load, in the water) for extended periods of time.
