Totalscan on Trolling Motor

Is the side imaging worth it on the trolling motor? I picked up a new to me Elite 7ti with Totalscan and have been using the US2 in my Ultrex on an older HDS7. Should I pop for the bracket and put the totalscan on the Ultrex or just get the cable and use 2D? Not sure how well it actually works, although it seems like everybody is doing it lol.

I have used it for years and it works good, if you want to take the time to learn it. Are the transom images better??? Yes. Does the TM mounted SI ducer work decently??? Yes. Honestly now that I have livescope, I find myself using the SI less. LS just finds so much more stuff that SI wasn’t showing.


Now if there’s nothing in your lake to look at, then it’s prob not worth the cost.
