2-1 or 3-1 for my HDS Live

I have a HDS Live that is connected to a thru hull transducer and a LSS2. I ripped the wire out of my LSS2, I plan to keep the thru hull, should I get a 3-1 or a 2-1?

2n1 will be just like your LSS2. 3n1 is sonar, down and sidescan. I just swapped my LSS2 for a 2n1 about a month ago

Just replaced my LSS2 with 3in1 and I'm very satisfied picture is clean and crisp.

Just a thought for you. It won't really matter since you will select 2D for the unit if you use a 3 in 1 and the 2D in the 3 in 1 will just remain dormant. However, if for some reason your 2D thru hull went out, you could switch over and use the 3 in 1 2D element. Won't probably be good for fast running, but in an emergency, you'd have 2D.

i went 3n1 for just that very reason always good to have a backup 2d in case the thru hull takes a dump .
