Who else were they going to get, I mean its not like there is a ton of candidates out there that are lighting the sky up as a cant miss coach. Meyer will have a 4-5 season window to get it fixed. The Jags have lost a lot of fans that will actually go to the Stadium to watch the game, I know I was a season ticket holder for 9 years (5 seats), and I got sick of watching the the opposing team draw more fans than the Jags. I loved football, but it is ridiculous to watch just plain BAD stinky play week in and week out. Then current events just ruined it completely. I wish them luck, they are going to need it....

He wasn't my choice, but I'm not the Man paying the bills either.

    The Positives for the Jags:

1st Overall Draft Pick (most likely TL)

Several Other High Draft Picks (from trades)

Highest Available Salary Cap Space in the League.

Guess we'll see if the Urb can play with the Men like he did with the Boys.

I'm not going to blame him for snatching 20M+ for the couple years he will be there. Good for him.

I think the Jags have a boatload of picks this year. Not a fan of his or the Jags

I'm sure the 463 Jags fans in the USA and UK are thrilled.

If the Jags can get a few good years out of Urban and he turns them around he will be worth it but it's a big if. If he can't turn it around in three years than I predict he will incur some more health issues.

Jags with Trevor Lawrence, Urban Meyer, James Robinson and 90 mill of caps space in florida could be a scary team in the next couple of years.

We will see how good of a coach he is,I do not know many great college coaches that were on the same level in the pro's.

Well....lets see if he brings his big boy pants. Somebody else recently made the transition from college to NFL. Only thing was, he forgot to bring his big boy pants. So he went back where he coaches the elite athletes in college. Different playing field in the NFL....may end up back in the booth.

Maybe he’ll just own up to being a cheating and a snake this time? I mean he was a mentor to Aaron hernandez.

I think he’s saying Meyer will be a carton character (as in his face on a milk carton) after a couple of seasons in the NFL. He’ll be “missing” from any serious coaching discussions.

I hope he does well in the pros. After all he is the greatest game day college coach of all time.
