    New Tracker owner

Just purchased a 2021 Pro 170 (blue) w/50hp. Added 3rd battery and 3 bank charger for 24v trolling motor. Next week I will be removing the existing TM and replacing with my Motorguide X3 and adding my Garmin 7 to front. For the time being, I will keep the Hook 4 that came with the boat. Decided to go tin as my 7th boat owned over the last 45 yrs.
    Some observations:
Have to mount the charger in a separate compartment due to lack of space - no problem with drilling hole in compartment for the cables
Moisture in compartments - will use Dri-Rid(?) to cure. Will be kept in garage.
    Tiny trailer wheel well steps
Towing home for 1st time, hit a dip and thought the boat was going to fly - very light compared to my bassboats owned
Having to remove cowl to add/check oil - have to get used to it
After my changes, hope to get the break-in taken care of

    Any tips/info will be appreciated!

Welcome to the BBC. Lots of great people and information here.
You might want to go to the Tin Boats section also. Plenty of info there.
Just scroll down while in the BBC Boards site.

Might be wrong but I think he is talking about for the inside of the box lids. I have a 175txw and the condensation inside the boxes is terrible. Lifted my rod box lid and looked like it was raining inside my box, storage boxes all my gear and tackle was wet, and I had two reels go bad shortly after buying it that I'm sure was because of the moisture. I cut some 2×4 and use them to prop open the lids while setting at the house.

Good luck with the new boat I've been disappointed with mine and will be going back to glass with the next one.

After 3 days, still waiting on the carpeted storage behind seats to dry - gonna hook up shop vac & towels to get dry before I load anything. All other storage is dry and will be stored in garage.
Going from glass 19' w/150 to lighter boat for towing with small truck.

congratulations on new boat, my Lund came with a 3 bank Minn kota charger in the battery compartment, needed a bigger starting battery but no room, so i removed the charger and got my room. The boat sits in the garage and i mounted the charger to plywood and leave it at home. It might last longer by not bouncing down the lake and when i get home just hook up the charger and the boat is 15 pounds lighter ! it only takes 2 min to connect the leads and even less time to disconnect them. I don't know how much the dealer wanted for a spare tire for the trailer, either way you should have a spare tire, and a good cable lock for it.
