I have a Gen 3 HDS 9 at the console and a Elite 9 Ti2 at the bow. I know(maybe) to connect these two I have to use the NMEA network, and would only be able to share waypoints, which is all I'm really concerned with. I can get a really good deal on another HDS 9, So I was thinking of adding it to the console as a second unit and mainly using it for mapping.
My question is can I connect all three together?
Could you ethernet the two HDS units so they'd be able to share data, and also have them connected to NMEA to share a waypoint to the Ti2?
