    ZXR vs FXR

So who can tell me if the differences between the FXR's and a ZXR's is really worth the extra 10-12k price tag? Just curious.

I have a guide service and have run both the FXR and ZXR. I had a 2020FXR21 Limited Edition last year. This year, I moved to a 2021ZXR21. I fish a relatively deep, clear lake. The ZXR has everything I need and fits my style of fishing. I do not have power poles on the ZXR as I don't need them. I did install Livescope on the ZXR and also changed out the front graph to a GEN4 12" Helix on the ZXR. I do not have a hydraulic jack plate. Based on my experience so far, I plan to stay with the ZXR as my platform. I'm happy to answer any specific questions you may have.

From what I’ve read the FXR comes with many upgrades such as better/bigger graphs, double the live well pumps, touch pad switches, duel bilge pumps

They also have different front deck layouts

The trailers are different as well FXR has fiberglass fenders and reverse lights

Many of the upgrades can be added to the ZXR with the exceptions of obvious things like touch pad, fenders and front deck

Thank you all for the input. With adding the options I wanted to on the ZXR it priced out almost to what the cost of an FXR Limited came to, so I purchased an FXR21 Limited.
Get to pick it up this Friday, over the top pumped about it!! Now to get it wet, slimed, and on the tourn trails I'm fishing this year. Thanks again y'all!!

With manual jackplate set correctly you will not have any porpoising. These new hulls like the engine high, if you have the hydraulic installed run it at 6-8 and then move to 17-19 at wot with trimmed around 75%. Your going to love it. Congrats on the new bug.

The porpoise issue has largely been done away with the FXR and ZXR hulls.

Strange I've watched a couple of videos of the ZXR and I didn't see any reverse lights on the trailer

Example at 3:17 (or the picture before you play it) you can see the back corner of the trail and I don't see a reverse light

    Follow up
Watching this video at 3:01 I see some stickers on the port side sponson at the back of the boat
Are these the boats required capacity and safety stickers?

My ZXR21 came with reverse lights, you almost have to look under the trailer

What he said. They are square LED lights that are adjustable. Same ones that came on my 2019 ZX250.
