My son is shaving his head to fight Childhood Cancer

My son’s Hockey team along with the Charlotte Rush are shaving their heads to help fund research to fight Childhood Cancer. When I asked him about this he did not hesitate to say he wanted to do this. He is 10 years old and I am super proud of him. Please consider sponsoring him for this event!

    Proud of him!

My wife and I have raised about $25k between the two of us. I have done 4 shave events, and my wife would have been right there with me, but the shave event at the end of one of our campaigns was just a few days after our son was born. But she’s a gamer, and can really pull the look off. Her hair is just now growing out after the last one.

That is a great cause. My son at the age of 13 was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma in his upper left leg. Dr's told us he had a 50% chance of survival at diagnosis, and could possibly loose his left leg. He had 2 surgeries one being leg reconstruction. After alot of answered prayers he made a full recovery. This past fall made 5 yrs since he was diagnosed and he can finally say he beat it.

I'm so proud of this kid I can't even put it into words. He is now 18 and a senior in high school with a 4.5 GPA. His plan is to go to WVU and study Engineering.

So Mr. Rodney P you definitely have a reason to be proud of your son. Childhood cancer is something no child should ever have to go through, the ones that do need all the support they can get.

Tell him thank you. My daughter is a survivor and her Dr. at UNC hospital started St. Baldricks in this area. He lets his hair grow all year for it.

    That's awesome.

When my son was the exact same age he grew his hair long enough to donate it for wigs for cancer kids. The mother of one of his friends died shortly before and he wanted to do something. He got tired of people thinking he was a girl but he stuck with it till it was long enough and then cut it.

I was proud of him and am proud of your son. Give him a big thumbs up from us.

Our local news station wants to do an interview with him. I am really hopeful we can double or triple what we have raised so far.
