2018 518c / livewell issue

I have the push button to turn on the Livewell. When I turn it on. The button lights up and will work for awhile. Then it will turn off. This is not the button that is on timer. if I push hard or hold the button down. It will work.

I think the contact in the back of the panel is messed up. it is a pain to fill the livewell up or for pump out. Anyone have this issue and what was the fix?

I’ve not heard much about intermittent contact on those panels, but there is a 3-year warranty on such items. If it is consistently inconsistent, take it to your dealer and ask for a replacement.

This is strange to me. I have the same boat and same year as you and my live wells are switches and not a push button. Why do we have two different panels on same year and model boat?

Maybe the OP has a Z518, not a 518C? If so, those push buttons are individual, not part of a console panel, and are easy to replace if defective.

I see the issue. Your title of the thread says 2018 but your signature says 2017. You have a 2017.

Mike, a 2017 switch is out of warranty, but that’s still an item I would take to a Ranger dealer. They might know how to get it working more consistently, and if not, probably have the needed part/s. If the dealer is at some distance from you, see if they will make you an appointment for same-day service. One way or the other, if they have the part on hand, that’s less than a 1-hour fix.

Can you send a pic of that panel? I would be interested in buying the bad one from you if it matches mine.

Also call Cabela's. If they have New old stock available it will be much cheaper. The recent price change increased it by 35 to 40%. I just bought a bow panel from Cabela's for 230. Current price direct from Ranger is 365
