    CB Rod selection

Ok I am thinking 1 of 3 for bombing 3/8-1/2oz maybe 3/4 oz crankbaits. I have only build one other casting rod and one other spinning. The casting was a Judge Crankbait rod which is amazing! I can jack them smallies on 10xd's and power crank em in to the boat and flip em in. they dont get off. In case it matters, I crank with braid to fluoro leader and that will not change because it has always worked great for me.
I dont want to spend another 150+ for a blank. So I am looking at the three following blanks:

    Rod Geeks SG79MM

    AT Bushido CB78/8-15

    MHX CB903-Blend

I am guessing the Rod geeks may be the closest to the judge. the judge seems to be about 50% s-glass 50% carbon. I dont know the exact portions but that is what it appears to be to me.

Anyone with any experience with these let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

I have the 7'10 judge Heavy.
I also have the 7'9 MHM rodgeeks cut down to 7'6.
The rodgeeks is basically the same as the judge action wise, just lighter in power, although it's not the MM you asked about.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.
I use the 7'6 MHM for 5/8 Traps, some 3/4 ounce stuff, some 1 oz. I think the MM.would work great for you
Check out the phenix X blanks though, they are easily my favorite blank for this type.
I'm not sure which you'd steer to for your weight range, though, as I only have heavier models. I would think x-10 or x-11 maybe

I have the bushido actually 2 I love them for cranks. Cast great and the sensitivity is excellent for a cranking rod 3/4 may tax the blank however. 1/2 is about the most I’ve thrown cause I don’t deep crank.

I am currently building on the Rod Geeks SG70MHM... That blank is very similar to the infamous seeker 706 S Glass. Power tackle uses the seeker 706 for their PGC170. I have that production rod and I can throw a DT4 all the way up to a 6XD... truly remarkable. I mention that since the MH has such a wide range. I'm about to order the SG70M just to see how it compares.

I ordered. Two blanks. Going to slap on some Fazlite guides, Arowana tip and still deciding on the reel seat. Maybe the ACS since it really locks my hand on and gives me a lot of control but I might try something new.

For the Rodgeeks you want the MHM, the MM doesn't have enough IMO.
