    Rear transducer location on 199

I am looking to install a Lowrance total scan transducer on the back of my 2007 LE199 and wasn't for sure where it needs to go. Can it be installed next to drain plug or is that too far tucked under the boat? Can someone post pics of theirs if they are running the total scan transducer?

Yeah, that's the way I have mine, but his Total Scan also has his 2D, so it needs to be mounted so it will be in the water when on plane. I'd mount it on the starboard side on the step if possible.

I have an Atlas hydraulic jack plate on it. I have been looking at the brackets that mount to side of jack plate.

As I stated above, I thiink you'll lose your 2D while on plane with it mounted there, but if you have a transducer in the hull you can use, you may can do that. I've got a buddy with a Total Scan and I don't recall if it has 2 connectors or just the one.
