    Trophy Plus?

In the process of trying some 4 blade props, is the trophy plus not a good option compared to the bravo and fury 4 blades? Seemed like alot of guys used to get pretty good results with the trophy plus props.

Trophy Plus is still a very good prop. It worked great on my Basscat Pantera II with a 200 and a Basscat Sabre with a 175. I am planning on trying one on my Caracal too.

I run one on my Triton TR 21 you just don't want to run them high on most boats. It should be faster than a Bravo and the fury 4 throws blades too.

    Yes... I questioned that.

The TM2/Wingmster vent hard and works better with larger diameter props with full size 4 3/4 in barrels.

Hi, do you mean they won’t fit the 250xs 4s or do you mean the Trophy Plus won’t work effectively on the 250 xs 4s?

The Trophy Plus came up as one of the selections when I used their prop selector tool.

I tried it last year on my Gen 2 TM just to see if I was right and I was. Now it does well on a Gen 1 TM case. The Gen 2 case is designed totally different and the small barrel trophy just does not have enough diameter being only 13 3/4 to get enough bite.

I have run a bravo xs, fury 4 and 3 trophies, the trophies were slower than the other two props. They handle nicely but no speed for me. (Not run on a gen 2 TM, just want to clarify)

I forgot I replied to this thread and showed up in doing a little research on props. I have been running a Trophy Plus on my BCB Caracal with a 225 4S and TM2 gearcase. The Trophy has done well and is running very similar to my Fury4. As a matter of fact it is a bit faster too. If the boat is loaded down with 2 guys and a ton of gear, gas and full livewells, the Trophy takes a second or two longer to get on plane and that is about it.

A Trophy prop can run on a TM2 gearcase but it sounds like it depends on the type/load of boat too.

My trophy can get clogged up with weeds which I then have to pull it to clear it. How to improve this issue?

I would put an exhaust ring on it and open up the PVS holes to have the same venting. That should cure the weed issue. I ran for 3 days on Guntersville with massive amounts of floating eel grass and did not pick up a single weed.

I used a Trophy plus for years on my Champ 203, great prop for that boat! Then I added two Talons and it couldn't get out of it's own way no matter what I did with the pvs plugs. Went with the same (25p) pitch Bravo 1xs with all holes open and it works great. I did lose speed as expected with added weight, but it gets on plane fine. Being a much bigger wheel it does take a few seconds longer to spool up. I did remover the Talons and try the Bravo to see what it would do, it was two mph slower than the Trophy plus.
