Which blank???

I'm wanting to build me a carolina rig rod. I'm wanting it to be long as possible. 8' if one is available. So far all of my blanks have come from mud hole but not seeing anything they have catching my eyes unless I'm overlooking it. Any suggestions?

I would suggest a North Fork Composite MB 7108-1(X-Ray LMX) or MB 7109-1(X-Ray LMX) Depending on how heavy weight you want to go. I have built a MB 7108-1(X-Ray LMX) and thrown 3/4oz weights. I have a MB 7109-1(X-Ray LMX) Im working on for 1oz.

How does the power of these two blanks compare to a Loomis NRX894. Thanks

I sold my NRX894 so I can't do a side by side comparison. But the 7108-1 feels more sensitive and has ability for more weight. I always felt the NRX894 felt dead in my hands.
