    The Best Sandwich

Now I will have to say the Buffalo Bills had something to do with my favorite sandwich. After all I spent more time in Buffalo working than any other city. I never lived there but I ate in all of their great restaurants.

My vote for the best sandwich is Roast Beef on Weck. Just fantastic.

Note I also think the Anchor Inn has some really good wings.

If your into Dogs you can't beat Ted's.

Of course there is fine dinning to. However I am partial to 716 in Canalside. Can't beat that full wall size TV

So as a football fan what does your team have to offer?

Homemade BLT with garden grown tomatoes (not hothouse). Then a good homemade grilled cheese while it’s hot. Then a bologna and cheese with mustard.

Another vote here for a simple BLT on white bread. Simple yea, but it just doesn’t get any better for me.

Black Diamond Extra Old Cheddar, a thick slice of Vadalia onion, lots of French’s yellow mustard, all between two slices of white bread.

I gotta raise my hand for the Reuben on marbled rye. It was already mentioned but the Chicago style beef with the hot giardiniera drenched in the au jus... is a solid choice.

I love various sandwiches, but my all time favorite is Uncle Charlie's pork tenderloin, thin sliced onion, thin sliced mater, mayo (Duke's or Hellman's) on a toasted bun. The dairy freeze next to our farm got me hooked on Uncle Charlie's back in the 60s, also the toasted bun. The owner had a meat slicer and a tomato/onion slicer. He also used leaf lettuce which most places settle for iceberg lettuce.

Dukes is OK if you can't get Hellman's.
