No spark on some cylinders Mercury 200 2.4

Working on a project motor. A 1983 Black Max 200 2.4 serial number 6392691. Motor has spark on 2 and 4. No spark on any other cylinder. Changed out power pack to 1,3,5 to see if would help. Nothing. Would a bad trigger cause this? Any easy test to perform to see why the 1,3,5 bank would not be firing. Is it possible that a bad ground could cause this?

Thinking about just buying 2 new cdi power packs and testing again.

Replaced stator and power packs. Still had one cylinder not firing. Had a bad wire. Motor is new to me. Sitting for last 5 years. Firing on all cylinders now. Removed advance module. Time to check carbs to make sure no gunk and do a sync and link.

    Thanks
