    I have had some backlash issues with 10# line in colder weather. Usually jump up to 12 or 14#. I really can't designate a specific rod for deep crankbaits. It's just one rod... Crankbaits. It's got 14# spro g line on it. I guess if I was gonna go back to the deep cranking world, I would dial in my rod and line set up better. I used 10# big game a lot in the 90 s.

    Sorta as I use copoly. I use McCoy's. For the price, I can change out line several times a year and keep away from issues with line memory.

    I still old school . I use mono for every thing but for flipping .I use braid on a lot of my backing for finesse reel's with a mono leader.
    But has start to go straight braid to get away from the knots ,going thru the micro guides.
