Go in as scent free as possible and set up with the wind in your face or a cross wind, they will usually work their way down wind of call. It's a good adrenaline rush.

Have a friend in Ohio who hunts them at night with night vision equipment and a camera. Sounds like fun but I don't think I could do that most of the night then function the next day.

That is what you call Effective Predator Control and the Coyote is by no means an endangered species and better to eliminate a few.

Studies are starting to show that the more of them you kill the more they breed, It's like getting a mogwai wet....

We have them but that is crap load of them! Hunting them at night may not be helping your headaches but y’all did a good thing getting them down in number! I have killed a few when deer hunting but never hunted with them in mind.

I’d like to see some documentation on that study. I lived in areas where people get together and thin them out and it takes years before you see them again, and then you just thin them again. Left unchecked they multiply quickly. By thinning them out you’re doing a lot of other animals including life stock and domestic a big favor.

Who was it and was using thermal sites? My son said someone he knew here was wearing them out no that you can use a rifle with thermal on private ground here.

Dang impressive night for sure. Coworker has a thermal scope but hasn't used it just yet. And up hear a whole frozen yote is worth 5$ this year. More if you skin and tan them but not worth it to me.
