The Head Coach of Jacksonville that was just fired had a $9M contract (don't know the length), so maybe 12 Million isn't to far out of the realm???

Note: Just read an article that said "Ex-Jaguar HC was making $9M dollars annually."

Didn’t believe I could have a lower opinion of this man. Now I do (assuming the reporting is accurate).

There are some exceptions to that, of course. Several NFL players are asshats, according to the BBC.

    Several???????

I hate to break it to ya but if you think that Urban Myer with Trevor Lawrence as his QB won't win a bunch of games in the NFL then I don't know what to tell ya...

College, you better be recruiting 24/7/365 or somebody else will get your players. NFL rosters are pretty much set. Just got to decide who to draft and who to invite to camp

Where college coaches struggle in the NFL is you have to give up a little control over your players off field life and be ok with it. These are grown men, and it's not like coaching college kids
Since when has Urban Meyer cared what any of his players did off the field?

Not really, seemed like business as usual across the SEC.

My thought is it will be tough for him to break all the rules in the NFL, but I could be wrong..

The highest paid coach in the NFL is Bill Belichick at 12m annually...Next is Pete Carroll at 11....and he thinks he's worth 12m having never coached an NFL team...let alone a rebuilding team.....lol okay Urb. Reid and Peyton make less than 10m annually....He may or may not be a great coach but to initially ask for the equivalent of arguably the greatest coach of all time is asinine but Khan might be the guy to do it

Jerry Jones is already drawing up the contract. McCarthy should start packing.

He might make something out of the cowboys , Jerry Jones doesn't and shouldn't care about the money . Maybe the Falcon could offer him big money .

Exactly. He didn't care when he coached college and wouldn't give a rats a@@ in the pros. And, in the NFL he wouldn't have to worry, because as someone already pointed out, these are grown men. They have to take responsibility for themselves, so Urb wouldn't lose sleep.
