    RPM/MPH Results from today - 18TRX

    Tempest 23p all holes plugged
    Water Temp 43 degrees
    Air temp 49 degrees

    70 MPH @ 5830 RPM

I don’t think I was quite wide-open throttle with full trim, but I had to be close.

It is obvious that your seat time and set up have paid off. I have followed your posts for some time now since we have the same boat/outboard combo. You are doing a great job and I know you are enjoying the success of your results. Congratulations!

No way- haha! I’m still pretty novice- What I’ve learned has been from Dave and others here, I’m still pretty nervous when it comes to driving it WOT but I appreciate all the help I’ve gotten from everybody here. I mostly wanted vessel view mobile so I could be sure my RPMs were in a safe area.

Great speed mate but like me, the rpm’s just aren’t up there yet, 70 is fast and would ruin your day if you
    spun, just imagine getting 6200!!

I think in order to achieve 6200 RPM, I would have to down pitch quite a bit, and probably give up speed by doing so. I’m not sure the boat will do much more than 70 miles an hour. Seems most guys here, even the ones getting the high RPMs are within a few miles an hour of top speed of 70 mph. I just want to be sure I’m taking good care of my motor by keeping it in the proper RPM range. The boat performs strong throughout all phases of throttle, I’m pretty happy the way it is. I do think if I were to switch props I would go with that Bravo FS 24P based on other people that have the prop on the same set up.
