Graph mount on cobra dash-Ram 2.25”

Added a ram mount to my cobra This was in another thread. Figured I would start a new. I did not want to damage the dash or boat by mounting a new. See the info below. E865DBA8-98E7-45D0-A75D-920C4DA68494.jpeg2692EA55-52EA-4F66-80F5-25B1070B054C.jpeg

Happy New Year The ram mount went well. Used a 2.25 RAM and two aluminum plates. The first plate is inside the gauge cluster and has the ram mount directly mounted. There is another plate behind the dash that has the tension for the middle plate. I felt that the dash deformed with direct strong tension. Running a 12” lowrance

HMMMM, did you screw plates into the fiberglass behind gauge opening. You should have holes cut in fiberglass behind dash. The dash i don't think is all that strong to support a 12" graph.

The dash is not strong enough. Two plates are sandwiched between the wood/fiberglass console. It is super strong and will hold a 12” graph easily
