    2002 90 Mercury leaking

Motor starts and runs fine, but when I put it up at the end of the day I can smell gas. There will be a small amount of oil in the splash well the next day where it ran down the front of the motor. What should I look for when I take the cover off?

look at cover that bolts on carb plate gaskets at bottom bad about leakage, replace with foam oem updated one now this is if you dont see an obvious leak on carbs or hoes

Also... is this a 3-cylinder classic 2-stroke, or a 4-stroke 90? Good idea to include serial number for identification.

All the diagrams from Mercury show the gasket is not available. Where else should I look?

It's on now so we'll see if it helps. The old gasket was pinched pretty bad. Didn't see any leaks so this should do the job. Where should the fuel go that was previously leaking thru the pinched gasket.
