How does everybody run the transducer cable on a Minn Koda trolling motor?

There are youtube videos where they run the cable up the shaft and through the head of the TM. Here is a link for a Terrova which is pretty close to a power drive. I will be doing the same on my Terrova but am waiting until I get the money for a better system first =) (come on big stimulus!!)

Thanks MikeCSr! Unfortunately I don’t have that grove on the shaft.

Ya.. after i posted that I asked my co worker whom has a power drive and he said his does not have the flat spot like my Terrova does. He said there is a way.. but he does not feel comfy doing it. He was thinking of just keeping using the US2 only or this:

I took a different approach. My Humminbird manual specifically said not to mount the transducer on the trolling motor. You had to order a transducer specially shielded for a trolling motor mount. Unfortunately, with Covid, they were back ordered with no future prediction of availability. So, I went with a bow mount. This works really well and does not have issues of the cable getting wrapped up on the TM.
