I picked up a few 110 +1 from TW this spring/summer and noticed when tying 2 of them on my line would break when pulling the knot down tight(sunline sniper 12 lb fishing fool/uni knot). Tried on a few different rods before I realized the split rings had a rough/abrasive finish to them. Ended up changing them out with some hyper wires and no more problems.
My question is has anyone else had/know of any issues on some batches or did they change somthing.

I always use snaps and remove the split rings. No more problem,
Haven't had the problem myself with 110's. I always remove split rings anyway and use snaps.
What snaps are you guys using?
Crosslock style fro me, in small sizes. Some like the owner are elongated and others are short but wide bottom like evergreen style.
Decoy egg snaps are nice
