Toon Brite protective clear coat... KBS Diamond Clear alternative?

Has anyone tried dipping their baits in this? I'm thinking about trying it out. Is it a moisture cure urathane? Thins with acetone. It's about 1/2 of the KBS price.

I love KBS... I buy a QT at a time because I need the depth of dip. It usually goes bad about 1/2 way through. I'm always looking for better/cheaper/cleaner options... I'd love to find a waterbase clear that acts like KBS...

I use KBS too and will be awaiting your results. I am thinking about researching some of the UV cure stuff. I would love the faster cure time.

I have looked into that, But building a light box and finding a place for it kind of slowed me down. I have also heard it's not as durable as KBS.

Try Bloxygen to preserve your clear coat. I have had good luck with it. That, and a tight lid.

Yes... I know about argon gas. I keep mine in a qt size mason jar and wipe the lid/rim clean each time. Wine preserver spray does the same thing...

At some point I will test it on a few crankbaits, then see if it is worth building a bigger light box rotisserie. I am lucky to have enough room for it. It would be sooo nice to not have to hang lures for 2 weeks to let them cure.
