    X70 Outboard Motor Height

Hey all, just bought my first Xpress, 2000 X70. Took it out for first time and have a sheared prop hub,. So I am waiting on parts to arrive in a few days and decided I’d take a look at the setup. Previous owner has the prop level with the keel, not the cavitation plate. Looking for tribal knowledge on what works best for The hyperlift hull. Boat has a 150 Merc XR6 w/ 3 bladed Merc stailnless prop, pitch unknown.

No jackplate. Mounted second hole from the top, so plenty of room to move the motor down.

Set it at middle hole, gave me about 2”p2p. Took it out yesterday afternoon, hit 60 (speedo, not the most accurate). When I finish playing with it I’ll post setup in the sticky above w/ gps speed. This hull is awesome.

I'm assuming that you have a waterpressure gauge?
2" ptp seems high to me especially without a Jackplate.

Speed doesn't sound bad but my guess is it's about 4mph give or take less than the speedo is showing. You could use your phone for gps.
That is a 60mph+ boat setup right.
