nice shots. have you abandoned the 34?
Thats too bad.
Hey, if you get some time again how about recording side/down at different scroll rates to. Those images look a little squished.
It is, might be a blessing also, I think the gt30 might actually identify fish better.
The lake I was fishing has a lot of cuts on it so every time you make a turn you get that. And I think the transducer being on a pole on the bow might exaggerate that also. I think I read over in HB forum they talked about matching the scroll speed to the boat speed and the what I normally try to do, but I will play around with it some more. Thanks .
Here’s a clip showing some fish
Ya, I always forget which one does what......slower scroll unstretches, or other way aroundI read over in HB forum they talked about matching the scroll speed to the boat speed and the what I normally try to do,
I like the GT30 which is what I have. I'm debating whether to spend some extra $$ and get the GT36.....see in the Electronics sale page where a member can't sell his GT30.

Update.? Is your 30 connected to the GCV20? I guess using the 8612 doesn't hurt the images either....

The gt 30 is a power house with good detail ,but the gt34 in shallow water 20 feet or less and out to 55 feet on side is the best I have seen for spotting fish and structure on my 1242.
