What’s fishing like on the Tennessee river between chick and nickajack. Going down Sunday for a week and might consider trying it if chick gets tough. Anything special one needs to be aware of.

It fishes more like a traditional river and is great smallmouth fishing. The current will likely be swift, since they are moving so much water through the TN river system. If you do go, and want to fish just south of the dam, be careful. There are some rocks just beneath the surface.
