Flotation in jack plate?

I have an aluminum boat that is stern heavy, which sits bow high, and I’m wanting to try to add some flotation inside atlas plate. I know the bullets sit the same way, so have you guys added any flotation in plate to try to help level boat or help with hole shot? If so, did it help? Do they make any products like this that fit inside plate or just use an inflatable ball? Thanks!

I used a closed cell foam cut to fit very snug

I filled mine with 2" thick foam cut like slices of bread , it did the trick.

I sometimes wish Bullet would modify the transom to do away with the need of so much setback. Picturing something similar to the old Ranger VS (sorry for the language). Wouldn't be as sexy maybe, but it would float more level, not backwash as bad, and act as a big planing plate. These 500lb+ engines need it IMO
