2002 185 VS w/ Merc. 150 EFI

Any advice as to quality and performance?

Those 185 and 188 hulls are good fishing boats,front deck is big for a 18.5’ boat. The ride is about average for that size boat. With a 150 it should run mid to upper 50’s,depending on set up and load. Those Mercury EFI’s are as bullet proof as an engine can be,keep it cool and use good oil,it will run almost forever.

Mine was an 02' W/ 175 HPDI. I was very happy with it's performance once I settled on the prop. Being honest , I wouldn't own with a 150 if you plan to fish bigger water or if you enjoy speed. Defiantly get the deck extension if it doesn't have it. The storage is just average in the 185 . Great boat for two guys . Above average in shallow water, Power it with a 112 lb TM and it's like fishing in a video game . The boat will dance from spot to spot and hold in extremely heavy current.

Great boat, I love mine. Wish it was faster, but once the trolling motor goes down, it gets even better. Fishing machine. I wish the front center storage had a little bit bigger lid on it
