That makes me sick to look at. Just glad you guys are uninjured. I've been down the no insurance road before also, it's a shame there is no repercussions for people's actions these days. All of the material items can be replaced.

If I could find a 20 as nice as mine I might would look at it. Kind of bummed out right now. Still waiting on an adjuster to settle with me. I dread that, something terrible.

Sad and sickening. Those photos are rough and glad everyone's OK. Looks like that could have gone real wrong. You can buy another boat.

    Very sorry to hear that.

When it’s all said and done I’d enjoy hearing about your interactions with your insurance company. Maybe the rest of us could learn some good lessons from your unfortunate experience.

Not much to tell really. I had an agreed value policy with Progressive thanks to the urging of Bob Luellen (World Wide). Truck ran over boat, killed boat. Obviously other guys fault and of course no insurance. Being right in the middle of the holidays I suggested we wait until after Christmas. They agreed and adjuster looked at boat Wednesday after Christmas declared it a total. Signed a couple papers electronically one morning and money on the way that afternoon by bank to bank transfer for agreed value minus deductible. Never saw anyone in person. End of story.

Thank you for the details. I didn't know about agreed value and now I'll look into that.

Good luck with your decision about whether or not to get into another boat

Sad to see and glad you ok, it does go to show they are tough boats though. My 21 XDC was a nice ride. I miss it still sometimes. If I was looking again in your case that 21 SS maybe the better size. I’m still looking at the 21 SDC.
